QR code for Instagram

Turn an Instagram handle, post or Reel into a code you can print, with your own colours and logo.

What are you linking to?

We add the profile URL for you. Switch to “Paste any link” for a video or post.

Style

Medium is the default. Higher levels survive more damage but make the code denser.

#111111
#ffffff

Keep the white border. Cropping it is the most common reason a printed code fails.

PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF under 2 MB and 16 megapixels. It covers at most 20% of the width, on a background-coloured tile; your image stays in this browser.

SVG has no fixed size; it stays sharp at any print size.

Example code for an Instagram profile. Enter your own link to replace it.

Your link and logo never leave your device.

Scan it with your phone camera before you print it.

This tool does not check where a code points. Only scan codes from sources you trust.

Paste your handle above and the generator builds the profile URL for you. For a single video, post or Reel, switch to “Paste any link” and paste the item’s share link.

How to make a QR code for Instagram

  1. Enter your handle, or paste a link to the exact video, post or Reel.
  2. Scan the preview with your phone camera. It should open the profile or item directly.
  3. Open the Style panel if you want a logo or a colour that matches the print.
  4. Download the PNG for a quick digital use, or the SVG for a printer.
  5. Scan the printed proof at its final size before the full run.

Where to find your Instagram link

Your profile address is the URL in your browser when you open your profile, usually instagram.com/yourhandle. For a post or Reel, use Share → Copy link on that item.

Test the link in a private window; a code that opens a login screen is one most people will not use. A private profile stays private — a QR code cannot make it public.

Where to put the code

A QR code is for the places where a link cannot be tapped. The best placements are the ones people already look at when they are deciding whether to follow you.

  • A business card or a market-stall sign
  • A sticker on a product or a thank-you card
  • A poster for a pop-up or a collaboration
  • A stream overlay or a printed backdrop

Keep the quiet zone and use dark modules on a light background. A code printed on a dark poster needs a light panel behind it. Test the proof on two phones; camera apps differ, especially in low light.

Instagram has its own in-app QR code. This one is useful when you need custom colours, a logo or a vector SVG for a printer.

One code for everything you sell

A profile code sends people to the platform, where the platform decides what they see next. If you want one scan to cover every product, link to your Unlockable page instead. The page has a QR code of its own, and every paid link has one too.

The app’s stats show views, unlocks and earnings by share channel, including QR code, so you can see what came from a printed code. On a paid sale, 10% comes from the creator and a 10% privacy and security fee is added to the buyer’s total; card processing is covered. Unlockable has a creator page but no marketplace, no memberships, and it is not a merchant of record, so you handle your own tax.

That does not make the platform profile code wrong. Use the profile code when the profile is the thing you want people to follow; use the Unlockable link when the thing you want them to do is buy a file.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Instagram QR code free?
Yes. The generator is free, has no watermark and does not need an account.
Does the QR code expire?
No. It is a static code: the profile or link is written into the pattern, with no redirect service that can switch it off.
Can I put my logo in the middle?
Yes. Choose a local image in the Style panel. Error correction is forced to High so the covered centre can still be decoded.
Can I see how many people scanned it?
Not from this static code. On an Unlockable link, the creator’s stats show views, unlocks and earnings by share channel, including QR code.
Should I link to my Instagram profile or my Unlockable page?
Use the Instagram profile code when the profile is the destination. Use an Unlockable page when you want one link to cover everything you sell; the page can hold the products, and the stats show what came from the code.
