What you can sell

How you would use Unlockable

  1. 1

Sell the full shoot as a collection when the feed only shows three frames.

  2. 2

Post the link in a story with a countdown, and cap the unlocks.

  3. 3

Bundle the trip footage with a written guide to the destination.

  4. 4

Add a voice note for the people who bought — it is the personal bit.

Why it works for influencers

An influencer audience is trained to expect everything for free, because that is how the feed works. The usual answer is to move the whole relationship behind a subscription or a platform, which changes what the audience gets and asks them to make a commitment — a large ask, for content they may only want occasionally.

Selling individual pieces is a smaller ask that fits the same audience. The full photoshoot behind the three frames that made the feed, the behind-the-scenes of a trip, the set that was too much for a brand deal — these are additions rather than subtractions, and nobody has to subscribe to anything. A capped link makes a set feel like a drop rather than a permanent shop listing, and a voice note makes it feel personal at scale.

What it will not do is monetise an audience that is not engaged. Follower count is a poor predictor of this; the relevant number is how many people ask you for more, which is usually much smaller than the follower count and much more willing to pay.

What these sell for: Photosets and behind-the-scenes bundles sell at £9–£15. A capped set can sit at the top of that range because the cap is doing the selling.

On a sale the buyer covers the privacy & security fee, and card processing comes out of our share — so a £12 price pays you £9.60. See the full split.

Influencers questions

Will selling content annoy my audience?

The framing matters more than the fact of it. Selling the frames that did not make the feed — the full set, the BTS — adds something rather than taking the free content away.

Can I run a limited drop for a brand collaboration?

Yes. Cap the link by unlocks or expire it after a set window, which suits campaign material tied to a date.

How do I make it feel personal rather than transactional?

Add a voice note to the link. It is a recorded message that plays before the buyer pays, and it is the closest thing to a personal thank-you at scale.

Upload it, set a price, share the link. No monthly fee, no membership, nothing to pay until something sells.
