Why it works for video content

Video is expensive to make and holds more separate products than any other medium. One shoot produces the finished edit, the scenes that were cut, the raw footage, and often the graphics and project files as well — and most creators sell one of those, usually the edit, and let the rest sit on a drive.

Selling them separately is not extra work, because they already exist. The extended cut is a link for the audience; the B-roll pack is a link for other creators; the raw footage is a link for the client who wants it later. They price differently because they are for different people, and the same shoot ends up earning from several of them.

Two practical constraints worth knowing: large files are fine but a buyer on a poor connection will be grateful for a smaller export, and offering resolutions as a collection usually beats making them choose. Neither is a reason not to, just a reason to think about the export settings before the price.

£20

£60+

Raw footage for one shoot

What these sell for: Extended cuts are £5–£10. B-roll packs reach £20, and raw footage for a shoot is priced per job from £60 upward.

On a sale the buyer covers the privacy & security fee, and card processing comes out of our share — so a £7 price pays you £5.60. See the full split.

Video content questions

Can I sell raw footage as well as the finished edit?

Yes, and they are different products for different buyers — one wants the result, the other wants the material.

How large a file can I sell?

Large video files are fine, but expect a buyer on a poor connection to be happier with a smaller export. Multiple resolutions as a collection is usually the pragmatic answer.

Can I deliver client work this way?

Yes. A paid link means payment happens before the files unlock, which is a cleaner handoff than a folder share.
