What you can sell

How you would use Unlockable

  1. 1

Package the whole system — workflow, prompts, config and documentation — as one collection at one price.

  2. 2

Include example inputs and outputs so a buyer can see it working before they run it.

  3. 3

Cap the first release at a launch price, then raise it once the walkthrough and support docs are proven.

  4. 4

Sell the underlying system, not the outputs it produces: the outputs are replaceable, the system is not.

Why it works for AI agents

An agent is a system, and systems carry a different kind of value from content. A prompt produces one output; a configured agent with tools, knowledge and instructions produces a repeatable process. That distinction is the entire pricing argument, and it is why the same underlying technology sells for £5 as a prompt list and £49 as a working system.

What makes it sellable is proof and packaging together. Example inputs with their actual outputs are what convince a buyer the thing works, because claims about agent reliability are cheap and demonstrations are not. Add the setup documentation, the required API keys with a realistic running cost, and a walkthrough, and the buyer is purchasing a working installation rather than a starting point they will have to finish themselves.

The honest limitation is fragility. An agent built against one provider's current model behaves differently when that model changes, and no amount of documentation prevents it. Selling it as a snapshot that works today, with an expectation of maintenance, is a fairer promise than selling it as a permanent system — and it gives you a legitimate reason to sell an updated version later.

What these sell for: £39–£59 is the working range. Buyers compare a working system against hours of build time, not against other downloads.

On a sale the buyer covers the privacy & security fee, and card processing comes out of our share — so a £49 price pays you £39.20. See the full split.

AI agents questions

Should I sell the agent or the content it produces?

The system, nearly always. Outputs are replaceable — anyone can generate a hundred images or a hundred articles — while the configuration that reliably produces usable output is the thing that took judgement. It also holds its price better, because the buyer cannot get the same result from a free tool by trying again.

Buyers will need API keys. Is that a problem?

It is a documentation problem rather than a product problem, but it is the main reason agent systems generate support questions. Say clearly which providers are required, what the expected running cost is, and what the buyer has to set up before it works. An honest cost estimate up front prevents the refund that follows a surprise bill.

How do I price an agent system?

On the problem it solves rather than the components it contains. An agent that replaces a few hours a week of manual research supports a higher price than the file count suggests, and buyers of business tooling compare it to labour rather than to other digital downloads. Pricing it like a prompt pack undervalues it and also attracts buyers who will not maintain it.
