What you package

How you would deliver it

  1. 1

Share the base from a clean copy with your own records removed.

  2. 2

Document the field structure, the views and any automations the buyer must reconnect.

  3. 3

Bundle the base, the guide and the walkthrough into one collection.

  4. 4

Sell a single-purpose base cheaply as an entry point to a full operating system.

Why it works for airtable creators

An Airtable base is a process made visible, which is why the sellable version is the operating system rather than the table. A buyer can build fields; what they cannot work out is how a client pipeline, a content calendar or an inventory should actually be structured so it does not collapse under real use. That structure, and the reasoning behind it, is what the price reflects.

The technical caveat is worth stating plainly rather than burying: automations and integrations do not travel with a shared base. They have to be reconnected to the buyer's own services, and a base that quietly depends on three of them will generate questions the moment it is installed. A checklist of what must be reconnected is not optional documentation here — it is part of delivering the product.

As with any workspace system, the audience does the work that the link cannot. Bases spread when someone sees one running, so this rewards builders who publish about their process. And the data hygiene point is sharper here than in a document template: a shared base replicates records, so anything left in it is being distributed.

£39

£19

What these sell for: £19 for a single base, £29–£39 for a full system. Automations do not travel, so the reconnection guide is part of the product.

On a sale the buyer covers the privacy & security fee, and card processing comes out of our share — so a £29 price pays you £23.20. See the full split.

Airtable creators questions

What has to be rebuilt by the buyer after sharing a base?

Automations and integrations generally need reconnecting to the buyer's own accounts, and anything referencing external services will not work until they do. Listing exactly what has to be reconnected, and in what order, is the difference between a working install and a support thread.

Is a base or a full operating system the better product?

Both, priced differently. A single-purpose base at £19 is an easy purchase and a good entry point; the complete system that runs a business at £69 to £99 is what the same buyer upgrades to. Selling them as separate links avoids one cannibalising the other.

How do I handle my own data before selling?

Remove it, and treat that as a hard requirement rather than a precaution. Shared bases replicate their records, so anything containing client names, contact details or commercial figures is personal or confidential data being published. Build the sellable version from an empty copy.
