Why it works for food creators

Recipes are the most freely available content on the internet, which makes them a poor thing to sell and an excellent thing to advertise with. The product is not the recipe; it is the organisation around it — a week of meals planned, quantities consolidated, one shopping list instead of six, and nothing left over that you will not use.

That is a collection, and it prices like one. Twenty recipes with a shopping list is a different object from twenty individual recipes, and it is the version people will pay for because it removes the planning rather than the cooking. Seasonal menus sell the same way and can be expired when the season turns, so the same recipes sell again next year without looking like leftovers.

What it will not do is compete with free. Anyone unwilling to pay for convenience will find the same recipes elsewhere, and that is a large share of the audience. This works on the people who value the hour you saved them.

What these sell for: Recipe collections with a shopping list are £8–£12. A technique video alone is £5, because it is convenience rather than a plan.

On a sale the buyer covers the privacy & security fee, and card processing comes out of our share — so a £10 price pays you £8. See the full split.

Food creators questions

Recipes are free everywhere — why would anyone pay?

They pay for the convenience: the collection organised, the quantities worked out and a consolidated shopping list. That is the product, not the recipe itself.

Can I sell a seasonal menu and then sell it again next year?

Yes. Use an expiring link for the season and republish it when the season returns.

Can I include videos with the recipes?

Yes. Upload the videos and the PDF together as a collection at one price.
