Why it works for sample packs

Producers buy packs habitually, which makes this one of the few digital products with a repeat-purchase pattern. The same sounds can be repackaged for a different genre, the project file can be sold alongside the samples, and a buyer who liked one pack is a natural buyer for the next β€” none of which requires new work, only a decision about how to group what exists.

Two things matter more than the sounds themselves. The licence has to be stated clearly, because ambiguity about what a buyer can release generates arguments that damage a reputation built on a catalogue. And the project file is usually worth more than the samples, because it teaches a technique rather than supplying material β€” which is why it prices higher and sells to a different part of the audience.

It will not stand out on novelty alone. The pack market is crowded, and what sells is either a distinctive sound or a recognised name behind it.

Example products and pricing

Β£15

Drum kit, 200 sounds

Β£20

Project file + walkthrough

Β£12

Loop pack, 50 loops

What these sell for: Β£12–£20 is standard. The project file with a walkthrough sits at the top, because it teaches rather than supplies.

On a sale the buyer covers the privacy & security fee, and card processing comes out of our share β€” so a Β£15 price pays you Β£12. See the full split.

Sample packs questions

Do I need to include a licence?

Include the terms in the pack. Buyers of sample packs expect to know what they can release with, and ambiguity is what generates arguments later.

Can I sell the project file as well as the sounds?

Yes, and it is usually the higher-priced item, because it teaches rather than just supplies.

Can I reuse sounds in another pack?

Yes. The same files can appear in a genre pack and a complete bundle without uploading twice.
