Stan Store costs $29/month for Creator or $99/month for Creator Pro, with no transaction fees. What you get, the processing cost, and who it fits.

Stan Store is a subscription storefront for creators: $29 a month for Creator or $99 a month for Creator Pro, with no transaction fee on sales. It bundles a link-in-bio shop, digital products, courses, bookings, memberships and email tools. It is more than a payment link, and it costs money before you sell anything.
The short version
- Creator is $29/month or $300/year; Creator Pro is $99/month or $948/year.
- Stan charges no transaction fee; Stripe or PayPal processing is still deducted.
- Creator covers digital products, courses, bookings, memberships and a community.
- Pro adds payment plans, dynamic pricing, pixel tracking, unlimited emails and automation.
- Stan is the better choice at volume or when you need the whole suite. A link is better for one file and an audience you already have.
What is Stan Store?
Stan Store is an all-in-one creator store designed to sit behind a social profile. A follower taps the link in your bio, sees your offers and checks out without leaving the store. It is not just a list of links: the store can sell digital products, host courses and webinars, take bookings, run memberships and host a community.
Stan was founded by John Hu, according to its own pricing guide, and it has a help centre and a public pricing page. That makes "is Stan legit?" a reasonable question with a straightforward answer: it is an established subscription product with a real checkout, not a free link page with a payment button bolted on. It is still a platform you rent, with the same account and rule risks as any other.
How much does Stan Store cost?
Stan publishes two plans, monthly or annual. The figures below are from its pricing guide, updated 22 July 2026 and checked on 19 October 2026.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | What it is for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Creator | $29/month | $300/year (saves $48) | Launching: storefront, digital products, courses, bookings, memberships, community and email list |
| Creator Pro | $99/month | $948/year (saves $240) | Scaling: everything in Creator plus payment plans, dynamic pricing, pixel tracking, unlimited emails and automation |
| Card processing | Stripe or PayPal standard rates | Additional | Not included in the subscription |
| Trial | 14 days | — | Try the store before paying |
The important line is the last one: the subscription is not the whole cost. Stan takes no percentage of each sale, but the payment processor still charges its standard rate. On a £10 sale, the processing fee is deducted before the money reaches you, exactly as it would on any other checkout.
What do you get for $29 and $99?
The Creator plan is broader than "a shop". Stan's pricing guide, checked in October 2026, lists digital products, coaching calls, courses and webinars, memberships, a community, email list growth and a storefront, with 11 ready-made link-in-bio templates. It also includes AutoDM, Stan's automated direct-message tool, which is useful for sending a link to people who ask for it.
Creator Pro adds the features that matter once you have traffic: payment plans, dynamic pricing, pixel tracking, unlimited emails, email automation, add-ons and bonus offers at checkout, discounts and limited-quantity offers. If you are running a launch with a payment plan or an upsell, Pro is the plan that supports it.
The practical split: Creator is for selling a first product and building a list. Pro is for selling more to the same list, with automation and payment options that earn back the extra $70 a month.
Is Stan Store legit and safe?
Stan is an established platform with a public pricing page, a help centre and a named founder. Payments are processed through Stripe or PayPal, according to Stan's own pricing guide, so the card processing is handled by regulated payment providers rather than by Stan directly.
"Legit" does not mean "guaranteed". Stan is a storefront, not a marketplace with a stream of buyers built in. The audience still has to come from somewhere, and a subscription is a cost you carry whether or not you sell. Check the terms and the current pricing before you commit to an annual plan.
What is Stan Store good at?
It replaces a stack of tools. A storefront, checkout, courses, bookings, memberships, a community and email can all live in one product. For a creator selling several formats, that is less administration than stitching together a link, a course platform and an email tool.
The fee is predictable. A flat subscription with no transaction fee is easier to model than a percentage, and it rewards volume. If you sell £2,000 a month, a $29 subscription is a small share of revenue; a 20% platform fee is £400.
It is built for the link-in-bio workflow. The store is designed to be the destination behind a social profile, with templates and an AutoDM tool that match how creators actually sell on Instagram and TikTok.
The trial lowers the risk. Fourteen days is enough to build a product page and see whether the workflow fits before paying for a year.
Where does Stan Store fall short?
You pay before you sell. $29 a month is $348 a year, and Creator Pro is $1,188 a year at the monthly rate. A creator making a few sales a month can spend more on the subscription than on a percentage fee.
Processing is extra. The "0% transaction fee" headline is true, but it is not the all-in cost. Stripe or PayPal takes its standard rate on every sale.
It is more machinery than one file needs. If your product is a single preset pack and your audience is already asking for it, a storefront, course builder and community are features you pay for and do not use.
It is still a platform. Stan sets the features, the pricing and the rules. A store you build on someone else's product is not an asset you control, and moving a catalogue later is work.
Stan Store vs Linktree and Beacons
The three are often compared because they all sit behind a social bio, but they do different jobs.
Linktree is a link-in-bio tool: it puts several links in one place. If your needs are "send people to my shop, my newsletter and my latest video", it is less machinery than a full store, and it is the right comparison for a creator who is not selling directly yet. See Linktree.
Beacons is another link-in-bio and creator-tools option. Its site blocked automated access when checked, so compare its current feature list and price directly rather than relying on a summary here. The same trade applies: a link page is less machinery, a store does more. See Beacons.
Stan is the most store-like of the three: courses, bookings, memberships, a community and email automation are part of the product. The trade is the monthly subscription and the setup time. If you only need links, Stan is more than you need; if you need the suite, it is fewer tools to manage.
The alternatives are compared properly on the Stan Store alternatives page, including where another platform is the better choice. Two useful comparisons are Gumroad for a storefront with tax handled, and Patreon for recurring memberships.
Stan Store vs Unlockable: which is cheaper?
It depends on volume, and the arithmetic is simple. Stan charges a flat subscription; Unlockable charges 20% of the list price, with the buyer paying a 10% privacy and security fee on top and card processing covered by Unlockable.
The table assumes an illustrative £1 = $1.25, so Creator is about £23 a month and Creator Pro about £79 a month. Stan's card processing is additional; Unlockable's is covered. The sales are at a £10 list price.
| Sales per month at £10 | Unlockable fee (20%) | Stan Creator (about £23) | Stan Pro (about £79) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | £10 | £23 | £79 |
| 12 | £24 | £23 | £79 |
| 25 | £50 | £23 | £79 |
| 50 | £100 | £23 | £79 |
The break-even for Creator is about 12 sales a month at £10, or about six at £20. For Pro it is about 40 sales at £10, or about 20 at £20. Below that, the percentage model is cheaper; above it, the subscription is. The comparison changes again if you need the course, membership or email tools, because Unlockable does not offer them at all.
That is the fair version: Stan is better value at volume or when you need the suite; Unlockable is simpler and cheaper when you sell occasionally and only need a link. Neither is universally cheaper. The pricing guide covers how to build the fee into your price, and the guide to selling without a website covers the link-only setup if that is the route you choose.
Frequently asked questions
Is Stan Store free?
No. There is a 14-day free trial, then Creator is $29/month or $300/year and Creator Pro is $99/month or $948/year. Stripe or PayPal processing is additional.
Does Stan Store take a transaction fee?
No. Stan charges a subscription rather than a percentage of each sale. The payment processor still charges its standard rate, so the all-in cost is the subscription plus processing.
Is Stan Store legit?
Yes, it is an established platform with a public pricing page, a help centre and a named founder. Payments are processed through Stripe or PayPal. That does not guarantee sales; the audience still has to come from your own marketing.
Can I sell digital products on Stan Store?
Yes. Digital products are part of the Creator plan, along with courses, bookings, memberships and a community. You can sell a single download or a catalogue.
Stan Store vs Linktree: which should I use?
Linktree if you only need a page of links. Stan if you need a store with checkout, courses, bookings or memberships. The subscription is the trade for the extra tools.
Do I need an audience to use Stan Store?
Yes, in practice. Stan is a store you send people to, not a marketplace that brings buyers. If you have no audience, the first job is distribution, not the store.
