How you would deliver it
- 1
Export the workflow, then write the install guide the buyer will actually need.
- 2
Bundle JSON, guide, variable template and walkthrough into one collection at one price.
- 3
Sell updates behind the same link — v2 replaces the files rather than being a new product.
- 4
Cap a launch at an early price for the first buyers of a new version.
Why it works for n8n creators
n8n work has an unusual economics: the value is measured in hours saved, but the artefact is a text file that weighs nothing and copies instantly. That gap is the whole opportunity. A workflow that took four hours to make and saves a buyer the same four hours is worth a real price — and because it is a small file, there is no delivery cost, no stock and no reason it cannot sell indefinitely.
The packaging is where the price actually lives. Bare JSON competes with thousands of free templates and arrives with support requests attached from anyone who cannot work out where a credential goes. The same workflow, bundled with an install guide, an environment template, a sample dataset and a walkthrough, becomes a product that installs cleanly on the first attempt. That bundle is what lets £29 be a fair price rather than an ambitious one.
The honest catch is maintenance. Nodes change, APIs are deprecated and rate limits move, so a workflow sold once will quietly stop working. That is not a reason to avoid selling it — it is a reason to sell it as a version with a known date, to keep the files behind the link current, and to treat a major rewrite as the next drop rather than a broken promise.

What these sell for: £19–£29 for a single workflow, up to £79 for a pack of twenty-five. The setup guide is what lifts a £19 JSON to £29.
On a sale the buyer covers the privacy & security fee, and card processing comes out of our share — so a £29 price pays you £23.20. See the full split.

n8n creators questions
Why would someone buy a workflow they could build?
Because building it is four hours of node wiring, credential debugging and error handling, and they need it working today. The JSON is the cheap part; what they are buying is that you have already found the failure modes. That is why a workflow in a bundle out-earns a workflow sold alone.
What should go in the package besides the JSON?
Everything needed for a clean install: which credentials, which environment variables, which nodes need updating, and one example input with its expected output so the buyer can confirm it works. This is also what justifies the price — an undocumented JSON competes with free templates and generates support questions.
How do I handle n8n version changes?
Version the workflow and be open about it. Node schemas and APIs move, so a workflow sold as permanent will disappoint. Selling v2 as a drop, while updating the files behind the existing link for people who already bought, is both more honest and a reason to sell to the same audience again.
